Words of Wisdom

Emotional healing does not mean dwelling upon the wound; it means looking at the world through unwounded eyes.

By Doreen Virtue

This is a quote that I read recently on my desk flip calendar, “Messages from your Angels” by Doreen Virtue, gifted to me by the lovely Nancy, Amelia and Lily,

This message is such a beautiful reminder to us all to feel our emotions, heal our wounds and grow as a result of having had that experience.

Words of Wisdom

Our Greatest Fear – Marianne Williamson

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous.
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And when we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates other.”

Words of Wisdom

“We advance ourselves not by standing on the heads of others but by reaching for the next rung on the ladder to our own greatness.”

- Maryanne Butler

I Am…

I’d like to share with you a poem I wrote in the 1980’s that changed my life and has touched the lives of many people since then.

I am who I am
and that is who I be
So don’t try to change me
For I won’t be who you see
So love me just the way I am
Or leave me just to be
Cause love’s not just to be as one
But also to be free
